My recent stay at Hotel La Riberena was a mixed experience. The property itself is charming, set right on the shores of Lake Chapala, offering a tranquil atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The Mexican breakfast at Terraza Las Moras was a delightful culinary journey, capturing the essence of the region's flavors.Unfortunately, my stay was marred by the bathroom shower's lack of water pressure and tepid temperature, reminiscent of my chilly morning in January.On a more positive note, the housekeeping service was exceptional, and the friendly staff added a welcoming touch to the overall ambiance. The lake views from the hotel were simply picturesque, complementing the clean and comfortable accommodations.Despite the shower issue, the hotel's facilities such as the swimming pool, sun terrace, and free Wi-Fi were noteworthy amenities that enhanced the stay. The fully refurbished seventies property exudes a family-friendly vibe, providing a unique blend of comfort and nostalgia.In summary, while Hotel La Riberena has its charms, the bathroom issue detracted from the overall experience. However, the warm hospitality, picturesque views, and serene ambiance make it a decent choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat by Lake Chapala.
